I am known as one of the foremost cutlery restoration experts in the United States. I perform museum-quality restoration work on high quality cutlery from Italian stilettos to Sheffield antiques. I have a fully equipped workshop, so I can make any parts that are necessary, and keep most materials in stock. I also buy old knives for parts. My background as an engineer, jeweler, cutler, and engraver gives me the skills to perform nearly any operation to restore your prized cutlery. My work is not inexpensive, but it is very good-and your satisfaction is guaranteed 100%.
I have been a student of cutlery for 45 years. I keep a substantial knife collection and a massive photo library for reference. In addition-I am in communication with collectors, manufacturers and other cutlery experts to ensure that I have accurate information so that your knives are restored correctly.
I am a certified repair/restoration technician for Latama, Mauro Mario, KABAR, Grafrath, Kuno Ritter, Colonial, Venier "Lepre," Hubertus, Presto, Flylock, Press Button, Schrade Cut. Co., and George Schrade knives.
True restoration is not just polishing knives. I take great care to preserve a knife's aging and character. Some knives are basket cases, and renewing the surfaces on these does not hurt their collector value. I will not do work that I deem inappropriate.
